About Us
Applesauce Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Charlotte, North Carolina, dedicated to empowering people from historically excluded communities. Since 2017, we've been designing culturally rich, community-centered festivals and experiential programs that connect participants to meaningful resources, from homeownership navigation and financial literacy to arts, wellness, and local business exposure.
What started as an annual cookout has grown into a vast community. Our flagship event, A Vibe Called Fresh, along with The Great Westside Fish Fry, Queen City Jam Clash, and MashUp Madness, have become part of Charlotte's cultural identity. These aren't just events, they are pop-up civic ecosystems where joy meets opportunity.
